Markets: Vendors and Peddlers

A closer look at the "lifeblood" of the marketplace.

You have to be a psychologist to communicate with the customers.
I have developed a "soft" relationship with many of my regular patrons. A lot of my regulars came back to me after their experiences in the supermarket. They want really fresh vegetables, fish and meat.
They stop to exchanges recipes, ask for advice about new products - and I will inquire about the health of their loved ones.

Whenever I visit a new city, I make a beeline to the marketplace. It is there, in the marketplace, where you really sense the intensity of the city. To me, the marketplace is the real heart of the city - the best place to feel its pulse.

The vendors are the cities lifeblood - they provide the "oxygen" and deliver the nourishment from the periphery the metropolis. Without them the town will grind to a halt.
