Mykonos OR Santorini?
I don't know of any other islands in the world that have been photographed as much as the Greek isles of Mykonos and Santorini. White-washed buildings against volcanic landscapes, picturesque windmills, blue church domes against the azure Aegean Sea -- both islands provide scenery beyond compare.
My vacation on the islands was both unplanned and definitely unstructured – but with calm seas, beautiful beaches and raving parties on Mykonos and stunning sunsets, motorbike, ATV and donkey tours on Santorini – a flexible vacation was both feasible and practical. It is hard to decide which island is more beautiful - each one has his own beauty. In fact, the two islands really complement each other.
Rule of Thumb
Mykonos is more for beaches, beautiful sand and turquoise water, clubbing and the party vibe.
Santorini is more romantic and caters for those whose interest lies in mythological, historical, and archaeological sites.
